We only collect what we need to run a trusted marketplace:
When payments launch, client funds are held safely and released to the freelancer only after the work is approved. Card payments for diaspora clients are processed by Stripe, and local payments use mobile money. We do not store full card numbers; card details are handled directly by our payment processor.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the trusted providers that run our service:
We may also share information if required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our users.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to run the service and meet legal obligations. You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app, or by emailing us.
To protect the other people you worked with, deleting your account removes your personal details and disables your login, but does not erase the shared history of completed orders. For example, a file you delivered stays as the other party's proof of work, with your personal link removed. This keeps the trust and dispute record fair for everyone.
You can access and update your profile in the app, ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it. To make a request, email support@getxirfad.com from the email address on your account.
We use database access rules so people can only see what they are allowed to, encrypt data in transit, keep sensitive files in private storage, and limit identity data to administrators for verification and safety only. No system is perfectly secure, but we take protecting your data seriously.
getxirfad is for adults aged 18 and over. Accounts may only be created by adults. Where children receive tutoring, such as Quran, Tafsiir, or Somali lessons, the lessons are booked and supervised by the adult account holder, and children do not hold accounts. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
getxirfad serves Somalia and the diaspora. Your information may be stored and processed in the United States and other countries through the providers listed above.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
